Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), as one of the higher education institutions which enjoy a long history and a world-renowned reputation in China, is a key university directly under the administration of the Ministry of Education (MOE) of the People’s Republic of China and co-constructed by MOE and Shanghai Municipal Government. Shanghai Jiao Tong University International Summer Session (SJTU ISS) Program covers the longest vocation during a school year. It offers high quality educational, professional, and co-curricular development opportunities during our summer programs. In addition to upholding high standards of academic integrity in the classroom, we also strive to provide our students with community engagement and foster the skills necessary for a successful and fulfilling career in an ever-increasing intercultural environment.
We have an Academic Committee formed by distinguished professors with remarkable academic achievements from SJTU and Canadian universities. They will review each syllabus in use to ensure uniformly high standards of professionalism, full sufficiency of subject matter coverage and content, consistency of format, and accuracy. They also will organize peer-to-peer classroom evaluations, interactive professorial feedback, internal quality control metrics, and independent systemic review to guarantee academic integrity and pedagogical rigor.
We have gathered distinguished professors from prestigious universities, and 80% of the professors have worked in top universities in Canada, and they give lectures strictly in accordance with the Canadian higher education system, to ensure that the educational experience they provide to every one of our students is as uncompromising and above reproach as that available at any of the world’s finest institutions of higher learning.
All of our summer school managers are highly experienced, and fully aware of any potential risks, both on and off campus, and they will do everything possible to protect students. The management is professional in planning, organizing, and fully implementing the Program’s regulations and activities, and supporting the Academic Committee to maintain their unsurpassed standards of integrity and rigor.
Our International Summer Session program invites professors from top-ranking universities to give face-to-face lectures in China. Students will spend an unforgettable summer, and make friends from different universities or even different countries.
Universities in Canada permit students to graduate early with required credits. Credits accredited by our International Summer Session Program can be transferred to their overseas home universities. Therefore, students can get opportunities to graduate in advance.
Some students choose SJTU ISS because it gives them the opportunity to return to their home country to reunite with families and relatives, while others leave their families behind for an international study experience. Whichever your home university in Canada, SJTU will give you the opportunity to study at SJTU ISS Program, and have a different learning experience in China.
Our International Summer Session program can help students save at least half the money on studying abroad, and enable them to get the same academic experience and credits as that of famous foreign universities, thus save a lot of expenses for overseas study.
