USST Enrollment Differences
For those currently enrolled as a USST student, enrollment in
International Exchange Program is a little bit different from
enrolling in an academic year term.

Generally, all USST IEP classes will be offered on-campus; but
as many students are still unable to travel due to COVID-19, we
do offer online courses in 2022, too. There are two models of
online instruction: 4-10 weeks synchronous “remote learning” or
asynchronous online courses.
IEP courses are expected to be very popular this summer.
Students are advised to select their courses and enroll in USST
as soon as they are able to. In advance of registration opening,
we suggest USST students check their accounts and make sure
there are no holds that could prevent or delay enrollment as
most courses have limited enrollment capacity.
If you are enrolling in an upper-level course this IEP session,
please contact
USST International Exchange Program Office administrator
for a code. Administrator will verify that you have completed
course prerequisites to enroll.
The IEP does not use consent codes for dropping a course or
require an instructor’s signature for a drop form.
International Exchange Program is a self-supporting program, so
all courses must meet a minimum enrollment of 10 students to be
given. Often students wait until the deadline to enroll in IEP,
so decisions regarding course cancellation are made a week prior
to the date a class is slated to begin. Students who have
enrolled in courses that are canceled due to low enrollment may
enroll in another open course or receive a full tuition and fee
adjustment.
You are encouraged to register as soon as you are able as many
classes have enrollment limits and will fill up quickly. Regular
Self-Service Registration in USST stops by the end of May.
